Hi there! I’m Kelsey!

My first ever Toastmasters meeting was with Sunrise Toastmasters in mid-2020, and that was that! I instantly loved the challenge, camaraderie, and supportive, growth-oriented environment – truly a safe space for figuring out what works, getting direct feedback, and learning from others.

I am a native North Carolinian, originally from Waxhaw, NC, now living and work-from-home-ing in lovely Greensboro, NC with my Utah transplant partner, Matt, and lots of fur-children.

As a relatively new Toastmaster, I had first heard about Toastmasters when I was an undergrad at NC State many years ago, but it wasn’t until I started a part-time Masters of Business Administration program at Elon University in 2019 that I realized (or admitted to myself!) the outsized importance of communication and public speaking skills and decided to fully commit to their development.

Now, I am excited to also experience the club executive leadership training program as I plan to serve as Club President beginning July 2021.
