Greetings, fellow Toastmasters.
Today Mike was our Toastmaster, giving us “environmental” as the Word of the Day and sharing eco-friendly tips with us throughout the meeting. Allison was our first speaker, presenting a beautiful pocket speech about her mother and the legacy she left behind. Karen was our second speaker, with a speech titled “The Bar and the Bee,” which was a story about participating in a spelling bee at a local brewery. David led us through Table Topics questions that were focused on songs about rain (or with rain in the lyrics). Mike and David each did double duty, with Mike evaluating Allison’s speech and David evaluating mine. Norris was our Timer/Grammarian.
