A great time was had by all at Friday’s meeting, with a large group in attendance and lots of laughter. Norris was our toastmaster and introduced the word of the day: curious. Our first speaker was Savannah, and she regaled us with a tale (and tunes) of the “Bean Ris” — pronounced “Bon Ree” — or “She-King” of Ireland, Grace O’Malley. Our second speaker was Phil, who gave a pocket speech about accountability. Dave led us in Table Topics based on homonyms, which is when most of the laughter happened. Mike was our general evaluator, Tim and Karen were our speaker evaluators, and David was our timer/grammarian. We were happy to have new member Allison, repeat visitor Sheila and new visitor Danielle with us.
