Anu did a terrific job as Toastmaster, leading the meeting and offering up “bias” as the Word of the Day. David gave a very informative speech on leadership styles. After an unintentionally long break from manual speeches, Brian wrapped up the Competent Communicator manual with a speech on mountain biking. Karen was in full Hurricanes spirit with Table Topics featuring questions related to the team’s current Stanley Cup run. Joe led a strong evaluation team that included Dave and Savannah, two of our most adept evaluators, and Karen double-dipping in the Timer/Grammarian role.
For next week, we are back in our main room, and roles are as shown below. If you have a role and will be unable to attend, as always please let our Toastmaster (Steve for May 10, and Mike for May 17) know. Brian will be out of town next week and will be missing meetings on a more frequent basis for the next couple of months, and could use some help with upcoming Fast Forward/Rewind reports, which are fortunately easy to send out with the email listserv.
