Below is a quick rewind of our meeting held on Friday Sept 19, 2014. The meeting was held at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in a meeting room NT102A and started at 7:00 a.m.
Phil Stringer gave the first speech of the day on the proposed “Education Tax” from competent communication manual (project #9 Persuade with Power). It was a thoroughly researched talk about the need for additional education funding, and how just a 1/4 cent sales tax increase could improve the ability for state educators to deliver education to our children.
Dramaine Freeman gave our second speech of the day titled “I Must Trust Him” to fulfill assignment #3 from his advance manual – Interpretive Reading. This was a moving recitation from a first person perspective accounting Peter’s dilemma in trusting Jesus. The use of tone, volume, and vocal variety highlighted an impressive presentation of a difficult assignment.
