Sunrise Toastmasters 1-09-15 Rewind & Fast-Forward 1-16-15

Hello Sunrise Toastmasters members,
Below is a quick rewind of our meeting held on Friday Jan 9, 2015. The meeting was held at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in meeting room
NT102A and started at 7:00 a.m.

We had a total of 11 members and one guest present at our meeting.

President  Angela Lingon opened our meeting and turned it over to Phil Stringer  our Toastmaster for the morning. His word of the day was ‘Endeavor’. He encouraged us to find ways in our life to seek out new endeavors.

Our first speaker was Tim Murphy. He spoke from the technical presentations manual speech #2. The title of her speech was ‘Time to Review ‘. He spoke about the importance of seeking/getting reviews, how to solicit reviews and taking action to follow up on both good and bad reviews once received.
Our second speaker was Dramaine Freeman. He spoke from a advanced manual. He gave a heartfelt speech based on Martin Luther King’s ‘I have been to the Mountain Top’ speech about bringing opportunity to those who don’t have access to it and to let love, truth and what is right be the guidepost in our life long journey.

Esther Khoury led us in table topics. She asked zen questions which required participants to be reflective about their life experiences.
