Below is a quick rewind of our meeting held on Friday May 22, 2015. The meeting was held at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in meeting room NT102A and started at 7:00 a.m

There were a total of eleven members and one guest present at our meeting.  Members: Jenna Willingham, Mike Stipanov, Phil Stringer, Esther Khoury, Dave Burr, Dramaine Freeman, Tim Murphy, Summer Murphy, Cinthia Torres, Robert Hickling & Lolita Henley.  Guest: Tamisha Henley

Vice President of Eduction Summer Murphy opened our meeting and turned it over to first time Toastmaster Jenna Willingham.  Jenna presented the theme for the meeting of “At the Movies”.  After inviting participants to introduce themselves, and reviewing the agenda, she expanded on the meeting theme using the word for the day, “Spectacle”.

Our first speaker was Mike Stipanov.  His project was from the Advanced Communicator manual, the Entertaining Speaker, and the title was “Is It Risky?  Come On!  Give Me a Break.”. He spoke about how messages of fear permeate our world.  He advised us to ask: What is realistic, and what is not, when it comes to being cautious?

Our second speaker was Dramaine Freeman. He also spoke from the Advanced Manual, the Entertaining Speaker, falsely titled to throw us off, but then he gave us the true title, “Three Fans” during his humorous account of his DIY ceiling fans adventure/installation.

Lolita Henley led us in table topics.  Her questions were base on the movie theme of the meeting.  Her questions ranged from “What is your favorite movie of all time?” to “What foods are not available at the movies that should be?”

Thanks to Robert Hickling and Phil Stringer for serving as evaluators and to Dave Burr for being general evaluator. Thanks to Cinthia Torres for serving as Timer/Grammarian.

The well run meeting ended on time at 8 am.
