It was great to have Joe back leading the team as Toastmaster this morning. Word of the Day was “vulnerability” which led to an interesting theme and inspired a great pocket speech from Angela, titled “Grit Privileged.” Angela’s speech was thought-provoking, challenging each of us to consider personal abilities and attributes that can help us gain more self-confidence. Our other speaker was Norris, who got us in the spirit for the Kentucky Derby by offering up a well-researched and interesting speech regarding the Triple Crown races and past winners. Anu’s Table Topics were fun and motivating, with each question asking the group to consider how we can make a great impact. Our evaluation team included Alvin, Dave and Brian.
For next week we are in Room 43 and roles are as follows. If you are scheduled for a role and can’t make it, please contact our toastmaster Anu and let her know. You can also confirm or change your roles by logging into https://sunrisegso.toastmastersclubs.org.
