Fast Forward/Rewind for March 3rd, 2020
Good evening all! We had an awesome meeting this morning with 10 in attendance. The virtual setting is really coming together. If you are thinking about coming back to a meeting now is the time because I am enjoying getting a little extra sleep! Mike was our Toastmaster with ‘Lid’ as Word of the Day. It was used sparingly. Mike gave us an example of Lid being used in business. A Lid in business means a cap/lid on growth. When tunnel vision sets in it is hard to see a business growing. By bringing in a fresh set of views from other people the tunnel vision can be broken and the company will grow. ‘What the Tea?’ was the title of our only speaker, Savannah. Her presentation by video was, in my opinion, better than if in person. The way she was able to set up her visuals was awesome. This was evident when she received her evaluation from Dave who pointed this out. We had a great round of Table Topics led by Angela who asked us questions around the COVID19 virus. Bettina was our General Evaluator and Karen our Timer/Grammarian. Please join us next week for if you don’t you will miss a treat!
