With quick thinking and feet, the meeting was moved to the old room this morning. Jenna opened the meeting before turning it over to Zach, the Toastmaster, who used “spurious” as the Word of the Day, but wanted us to be anything but. Angela did a pocket speech about Owen, a book by Kevin Henkes. Dave had a prepared speech using visual aids, but without the right connectors, id a pocket speech, “Black Lives Don’t Matter – a play about healing and understanding.” Jenna led Table Topics with themes from both speeches. Phil S was the General Evaluator, and introduced his Evaluators, Steve and Phil M, and the Timer, Mike. Thank you to Karen for returning and participating in TT as well.
