06.13.14 Rewind . . . . It was great to have Steve Stephens return and serve as our Toastmaster last week. He led a meeting full of energy, with a total of ten members in attendance. Our newest member, Griselda Flores passionately and confidently presented her icebreaker speech. It was great to learn further about her and we all look forward to hearing more from her. In addition, Summer Murphy enthusiastically gave her third speech, “An Introduction of American Sign Language”. Her presentation taught us that sign language conveys meanings, not words. Just in time for family vacations, Summer taught us a few handy sign language phrases such as, “What time do you want eat?”, “Where’s the restroom?”, and “I don’t care.” Dramaine Freeman, asked a cornucopia of thought-provoking questions as the Table Topics Master. Thank you to Esther Khoury, Tim Murphy, Dave Burr and Angela Ligon for serving in evaluation roles during the meeting.
06.20.14 Fast-forward. . . .Ying Na will serve as our Toastmaster tomorrow and has already reached out to those serving in roles for the meeting.
