My fellow Toastmasters –
First week into the new Toastmasters and I am already late in my responsibilities as Secretary! But if you indulge me, I was body surfing and reading at the beach.
Tim spoke from the Speaking to Inform manual, recounting the first chapter of his book. Zack spoke from the Competent Communicator Manual, with another book report. Had I taken better notes, I would have been reading his recommendation, rather than my geeky book on the evolution of flight. Mike kept us grounded in Table Topics, with questions on Road Trips. (Traffic is always bad at 4th of July). Summer pulled double duty as both an Evaluator and Timer, and Dave was an Evaluator as well. Jenna led the entire meeting as Toastmaster, before turning it over to the Division Director, Michelle Lucas, for the installation of officers for 2016-2017. A thank you to Phil in encouraging Brianna Stacey to attend as a guest.
Finally, on behalf of the club, a huge thank you to Summer Murphy for her work as President in the 2015-2016 year. You were exceptional!
