Being Friday the 13th caused no bad luck at our meeting today! We welcomed 3 guests from afar, Tanuja from Long Island, Marlit from Charlotttesville, and Asha from Baltimore. Guests are always welcome from wherever they call home.
Our Toastmaster today, Karen, set the meeting theme around cause and causation, and shared related information throughout the meeting. Amelya Black blew us away with a very dialed-in Ice Breaker speech from the Motivational Strategies educational pathway titled, Story Telling In The Now. As the newer members bring such high level skills and preparation, they challenge us older members to match their commitment in our own pathways presentations. Our second speaker, Bettina Ross did just that in her speech, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo – Building Beyond Limitations from the Dynamic Leadership pathway, exploring your leadership style. Angela lead Table Topics with a collection of punny cards and related questions. The evaluation portion of the meeting was lead by Dave, with supporting roles filled by Tim, Kelsey, and Savannah.
