Hello Sunrise Toastmasters members,
Below is a quick rewind of our meeting held on Friday Apr,10, 2015. The meeting was held at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in meeting room
NT102A and started at 7:00 a.m
We had a total of 11 members and one guest present at our meeting.
President Angela Lingon opened our meeting and turned it over to Tim Murphy, Toastmaster for the morning. His word of the day was ‘Nostalgic’. His theme for the meeting was childhood memories and he asked the people on the agenda (except for speakers) to briefly talk about a childhood memory before performing their role.
Our first speaker was Dramaine Freeman. He spoke from the advance manual. The Tittle was “The Great Collaboration Towards Freedom”. Dramaine speech was based on quotes from various African American role models and his thoughts on the need for collaboration towards freedom.
Our second speaker was Angela Ligon. She spoke from the Competent Communicator manual speech #10. The title of her speech was “Can I count on your support?”. She spoke about supporting loved ones even when one might disagree with their decisions.
Summer Murphy led us in table topics. Her questions were about childhood memories.
Thanks to Steve Stephens and Richard Schmidt for serving as evaluator and to Esther Khoury for being general evaluator. Thanks to Lolita Henley for serving as Timer/Grammarian.
