Hello Sunrise! How is everyone enjoying the year so far? Our meeting on Friday began with a discussion regarding Invitations to possible new members or guests from Toastmasters past. How exciting! The word of the day was “proverb,” and it proved to be an excellent choice, as all speakers easily remembered to use it. Dave recited several ancient proverbs for us, including my personal favorite of the selection, the Swiss proverb, “The night rinses what the day soaps.” Tim presented a super engaging speech entitled “The Best Thing Since The Wheel.” Savannah evaluated Tim’s speech, which was appropriate considering a photo of her was featured in the screen share! The team had a great time looking back at Tim’s past with numerous car models and other means of modified transportation.
